All tasks fail with error runtime 429 - "ActiveX component cannot create object"
Details
- All tasks fail to run and issue an error.
- An error is seen after initial installation.
- The following error appears:
ActiveX component can't create object.(429)
Solution
This error happens when there is a problem with the Windows Scripting components or Visual Basic runtime libraries.

Reinstall Windows Script Host 5.6 or higher, and restart.
Windows Script Host 5.6 is available to download from Microsoft at:

Reinstall the Visual Basic 6 runtime libraries (vbrun60sp6.exe)
Visual Basic 6 Runtime libraries pack is available to download from Microsoft at:
