Performance chart issues when a DE locale vCenter Server installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 32-bit or 64-bit accesses DB2 database (1022019)

Details

The following Performance chart issues might occur when a DE locale vCenter Server is installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 32-bit or 64-bit with a DB2 database:
  • Clicking on Chart Options in the Advanced page of the Performance chart might fail with an error message similar to the following:

In the performance graphs an internal error has occurred
  • Some items such as Past day, Past week, Past month, Past year, and Custom might not be displayed in Advanced chart options under the host and virtual machine nodes.

Solution

To workaround the issues, perform the following steps:

  1. Create a directory C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Application Data and copy the IBM folder from the location C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\IBM\DB2\DB2COPY1 to the new directory.
  2. Restart vCenter Server.
