Determining which Storage Replication Adapter is being used with Site Recovery Manager

Purpose

A Storage Replication Adapters (SRA) allows VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) to integrate with 3rd party storage array technology.

It can be difficult to determine which SRA is being used with a particular SRM deployment. This article provides information to help you determine, from a VMware SRM perspective, which SRA is installed.

Resolution

SRA information can be determined from the SRM log files on the SRM server. The name of the log file is vmware-dr-X.log, where X is an incremental number. The log files are typically located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager\Logs.
 
Search in the logs for command.pl. The SRA that is being used is in the full path to command.pl.
