Cannot Install Lab Manager Remote MKS Plugin or ActiveX Control (1016560)
Details
The first time you try to view the console of a virtual machine in Lab Manager, you must install either the ActiveX control (for Internet Explorer) or the VMware Remote MKS Plugin (for Firefox). If the Active X control or VMware Remote MKS Plugin is not installed, you are prompted to install it by your browser.
In some cases, you will not be able to complete the installation until you modify your browser settings.
Solution
For Firefox, add the Lab Manager server to the list of web sites that is allowed to install add-ons. For example:
In your browser, choose Tools > Options.
Click the Security icon.
Click Exceptions.
Enter the address of the Lab Manager server and click Allow.
Click Close and click OK.
For Internet Explorer, add the Lab Manager server to the list of trusted sites. For example:
In your browser, choose Tools > Internet Options.
Click the Security tab.
Select Trusted sites and click Sites.
Enter the address of the Lab Manager server and click Add.
Click Close and click OK.
Please be advised that selected versions of Firefox/ Internet Explorer supports Lab Manager. Refer VMware vCenter Lab Manager Documentation and select the appropriate document for Lab Manager build you are using to confirm whether or not your current browser supports VMware vCenter Lab Manager.
