Warning for Duplicate IP Address for VMware vMotion Port Group (10165)

VMware ESX 3.0.2 or later detects duplicate vMotion IP addresses and generates the warning message:

Duplicate IP address detected.

For example, the following message is seen in /var/log/vmkernel:

Received message 0@vmk_notify_ip_dup:4557: Duplicate ip address detected: mac = 0:50:56:6e:aa:b7 ip = 0x1b99110a

The MAC address belongs to the uplink network adapter for the vSwitch where the VMotion portgroup is configured.
