Running vCenter Server Heartbeat in a MSCS Cluster (1014414)

Symptoms

Can vCenter Server running vCenter Server Heartbeat coexist with the Microsoft Cluster Service (MSCS)?

Resolution

vCenter Server Heartbeat is an application level failover product that helps detect VMware component failures.

MSCS is used to service when there is a node-level failure.

vCenter Server Heartbeat and MSCS cannot co-exist in the same environment.
