Confirming if Lab Manager Tools is installed in a guest operating system

This article provides steps to confirm if Lab Manager Tools is installed on a guest operating system.

Solution

To confirm if Lab Manager Tools is installed for Windows guests:

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
  2. Check if Lab Manager Tools is listed as an installed program.
To confirm if Lab Manager Tools is installed for Linux guests, log in as root and run this command:
  • For RHEL – ls /etc/rc.d/init.d/lm-tools
  • For SUSE – ls /etc/rc.d/lm-tools
  • For Solaris – ls /etc/init.d/lm-tools

If Lab Manager Tools is installed, the command returns <path>/lm-tools .

If Lab Manager Tools is not installed, the command returns No such file or directory .
