Upgrading View 3.1 to 3.1.1 clears View Connection Server settings from LDAP (1013300)

Details

After you upgrade VMware View from version 3.1 to 3.1.1, the settings for each Connection Server are not retained and are set to their default values. This occurs because the Connection Server installer removes the configuration entries in the LDAP when you uninstall versions 3.1 or 3.1.1, or when you upgrade to View 3.1.1.
 
The affected configuration parameters are:
  • External URL
  • Direct Connection to desktop
  • Smart Card authentication
  • RSA SecurID 2 Factor authentication
  • View Manager Configuration Backup

Solution

Install View 3.1.2 to avoid this issue. See the VMware View Download page.

Note: If you upgrade from View 3.1 to 3.1.1 you must reconfigure the changes made to the affected configuration parameters.
