Solution

Summary

This patch updates the service console kernel for a fix that addresses an issue in the mptscsi_2xx driver during the discovery of storage devices on LSI SCSI HBAs.

Symptom

Error messages similar to the following might be displayed in the service console:

Patch Download and Installation

Note: All virtual machines on the host must be either shut down or migrated using VMotion before applying the patch. A reboot of the ESX Server host is required after applying this patch.
