Effect of stopping VMwareVDMDS service on View 3.1 upgrade (1012990)
Details
If you stop VMware View Connection Server and VMwareVDMDS service before upgrading to View 3.1, and if you try to create or edit desktop pools, the Administrator window shows the following error:
ADAM data error Important: Do not stop the VMwareVDMDS services when upgrading View to 3.1.
When the VMwareVDMDS services are stopped, View cannot update the ADAM schema during installation.
Solution
This issue is resolved in VMware View 3.1.2. You can download VMware View 3.1.2 from the VMware View download page.
