View Clients unexpectedly disconnect from the desktops when tunneled (1012388)

Details

  • The View Connection Server unexpectedly disconnects View Clients from the desktops when tunneled.
  • If this issue occurs, you may see the following RDP error:

    12:56:51,736 INFO <DesktopWindow> [wswc_rdp] RDP control version = 5.1.2600.2180
12:58:25,908 ERROR <DesktopWindow> [wswc_rdp] The connection to the remote computer failed.
There was an unexpected RDP disconnection. Microsoft RDP error code = 1028

  • This issue occurs only in View Manager 3.1.0 following a tunnel client connection failure due to a networking problem when the tunneled data is still being transferred. Although reconnecting the View Clients succeeds initially, another disconnection may occur. Other View Clients may also disconnect from the desktops.

Note: View Clients connect to desktops directly or using View Connection Server. By default, View Clients connect using View Connection Server, while the data is tunneled between the client and the connection server.

  • RDP error code numbers for this issue include:
    • 3334
    • 3078
    • 1028

  • You see the error:

The remote desktop session has ended.
