VMware View Client requires HTTP 1.1 to be enabled in Internet Explorer
Details
You may experience delays and slow performance connecting to your connection server, performing authentication, and connecting to your virtual desktop if you do not have HTTP 1.1 enabled.
When the connection is established, the session proceeds normally.
Solution
The full VMware View client requires that HTTP 1.1 be enabled in the Advanced Settings of Internet Explorer.
To enable the HTTP 1.1:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools > Internet Options.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Scroll down to HTTP 1.1 Settings.
- Select Use HTTP 1.1. If you are using a proxy server, select Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections.
- Click OK.
- Close Internet Explorer.
- Run the VMware View Client and verify that server connection, authentication, and desktop connection now proceed without delay.
