Purpose
This article provides information about the eligibilities you require to upgrade from VMware Infrastructure 3.x to vSphere 4.x, including Autopush Fulfillment eligibility criteria from Virtual Infrastructure 3.x to vSphere 4.x.
Resolution
You require valid Support and Subscription for both the Base License and the Upgrade License.
For example, if there is a Standard to Enterprise upgrade on the portal, it shows the ESX STD license and the Upgrade license separately. The Support must be valid for both the Base and the upgrade license keys. Only then do you receive a vSphere 4.0 Enterprise License.
