Upgrading VMware Update Manager fails
You see the error:

The Wizard was interrupted before vmware could be completed installed.
C:\documents and settings\administrator\local settings\temp\vminst.log contains the error:

Process returned 3
Db_config.exe:: error – failed to connect to db

This issue occurs if the installation cannot complete.

To resolve this issue, perform a repair of Update Manager from Add or Remove Programs, then perform the upgrade again.
