Enabling verbose logging for View Composer related components (1010388)
Purpose
This article provides steps for enabling verbose logging for View Composer related components.
Resolution
Enabling View Composer verbose logging
To enable View Composer verbose logging:

Open the following file in a text editor:
C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View Composer\SviWebService.exe.config -
Search for RollingLogFileAppender.

Change the threshold value from INFO to DEBUG.
Enabling View Composer related debug logging in the View Agent virtual desktop
To enable View Composer related debug logging in the View Agent virtual desktop:

Click on Start > Run.

Type regedit and press Enter.

Make your way to the sub-key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\vmware-viewcomposer-ga -
Set the following value in the registry of the parent virtual machine:
Value Name: LogLevel
Value Data Type: REG_SZ
Value Data: 5 -
Take a snapshot of the Master virtual machine and deploy clones from it.

Collect the following logs:

Export the HKLM hive of registry (use regedit, File > Export).

Log files in:
C:\Windows\Temp\vmware-viewcomposer-*.log -
Log files in:
C:\Windows\system32\vmware-viewcomposer-*.log -
Log files in:
C:\WINDOWS\Debug\UserMode\userenv.log -
If there is a User Data Disk, copy the profile and profile.bak directory.
