Solution
Summaries and Symptoms
Fixes the following security issue in the service console:
- A flaw in the way BIND (Berkeley Internet Name Domain) checks the return value of the OpenSSL DSA_do_verify function. A malicious zone might present a malformed DSA certificate and bypass proper certificate validation, allowing spoofing attacks on systems using DNSSEC. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures Project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the name CVE-2009-0025 to this issue.
Deployment Considerations
None beyond the required patch bundles and reboot information listed in the table, above.
