Connecting to SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005 from VirtualCenter fails with the error: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection

Details

  • You cannot connect to SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005 from VirtualCenter
  • You see a message similar to:

    Login failed for user '<LoginName>'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

Solution
