Adding a VirtualCenter Server in View Administrator and accepting error message "Unable to connect to View Composer" disables OK button (1008550)

Details

This problem occurs in View Administrator when you are attempting to add a VirtualCenter Server that does not have View Composer configured. If you select the option Check for View Composer Compatibility in the VirtualCenter Settings dialog box, and click OK to submit the content of the dialog box before the progress indicator shows that the check has completed,  the error message Unable to connect to View Composer is displayed. When you acknowledge the error message, the OK button and  the Virtual Settings dialog box are both disabled. Reentering your password in the VirtualCenter Settings dialog box enables the OK button again, but clicking OK at that point still displays the error message Unable to connect to View Composer

Solution

When you select the option Check for View Composer Compatibility in the VirtualCenter Settings dialog box, wait for the progress indicator to complete. This indicates that the processing has finished and avoids sending multiple conflicting requests to the server. If you click OK too soon and encounter this problem, cancel and reattempt the add VirtualCenter Server operation.
