Autofit guest option is not working for Windows 2003 (1007953)

Symptoms

  • Autofit Guest does not work in Windows 2003 using VMware Tools from ESX 3.5 
  • When VMware Tools installed from ESX 3.0.x, this error does not occur

Resolution

To workaround the issue, use Windows Desktop Settings to change the resolution.
