The virtual machine is migrated from Parallels

The network adapter cannot obtain an IP address lease from a DHCP server

A Parallels Tools error appears.

Unable to install VMware Tools
Solution
These issues happen because of a conflict with Parallels Tools. These tools must be uninstalled before running the virtual machine under VMware Fusion.
To be able to install VMware Tools:

Uninstall Parallels Tools. For information, consult Parallels' documentation.

Manually remove the Parallels Tools entry from Add/Remove programs. For more information, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 247501.

Restart the virtual machine.
