Lenovo ThinkPad T61 laptops may fail to a blue screen with BSOD STOP: 0x40000080 when disconnecting a network cable

Details

 This problem is caused by an Intel network driver problem.

Solution

Upgrade to Intel E1e5132.sys network driver version 9.12.18.0 which can be downloaded from the Intel download center on the Intel Web site.
