The View Composer server shuts down after losing the database connection (1007715)

Details

The View Composer server will fail if it loses the connection to database server and is unable to reconnect. The View Composer client will then lose the connection to the server.

Solution

Make sure that the database server is running and restart the View Composer server.
 
In View 3.1, this problem is fixed and an error message is displayed to indicate that the database connection was lost.
