"Active Directory Server is not available" message is generated if AD credentials provided for QuickPrep are not valid (1007703)

Details

This error message might be displayed when you create a desktop pool, and, before cloning starts, you change the password for the Domain Administrator (which is used by QuickPrep).
This is not the correct message for this issue. The message should be Failed to authenticate to domain.

Solution

Update the password for the View Composer domain credentials previously stored in View Manager:
  1. In the Configuration tab of View Administrator, select the VirtualCenter server entry and click Edit.
  2. Select the View Composer domain credential entry and click Edit to update the password.
