If a snapshot is taken on a linked clone, refresh and recompose operations are not supported (1007694)

The symtoms are as following:

If a snapshot is taken on a linked clone, then a Recompose or Refresh operation fails
You receive the following error generated by View Composer:

DiskCustomFault error

Note: Taking a snapshot of linked clones is not supported by View Composer.

To workaround this issue:

In View 3.1, it is not possible to recompose or refresh a linked clone that has any snapshots.
