Renaming or removing a datastore in ESX after creating a pooled desktop causes unexpected behavior

Details

A pooled desktop is not shown as selected in the Edit Desktop Pool wizard if the datastore is removed or renamed in ESX. The Finish button may appear enabled but with no datastore selected. Clicking on the Finish button closes the wizard but cloning does not start. Selecting and deselecting the datastore disables the Finish button.

Solution

Select a datastore before clicking on the Finish button.
 
In View 3.1, the Finish button is disabled if the previously selected datastore is unavailable.
