If the View Connection Server installation path contains too many characters, the installation fails with an error message (1007604)

Details

During installation of the Connection Server, if you enter a long custom installation path, the installer might fail as it copies files to the designated installation directory. This happens because the additional folders/filenames in your custom installation path, added to the end of your initial installation directory, make the final path to some files greater than 256 characters, which causes the installer to fail with an error message indicating that a file is corrupt.

Solution

To ensure that your custom installation path does not cause this problem, VMware recommends that you do not specify an installation directory that contains more than 120 characters.
