Collecting the Support Information Using the SupportLink Tab Under Settings Might Display an Error

When you collect the support information using the SupportLink tab under Settings in Lab Manager, Lab Manager might display amessage after collecting the information successfully:
Collect Support Information is already running...
In addition, Lab Manager does not clear the support information collected in a previous session.

Solution

Ignore the error and download the file.
To avoid the error message the next time, and to ensure clearing of the support information collected in previous sessions, enable Modify and Write permissions to the Lab Manager installation folder.
  1. Browse to the application data folder for Lab Manager:
    %AllUsersProfile%\Application Data\VMware
  2. Right-click the VMware Lab Manager folder and click Properties.
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Select VMwareLMClientAccts from the Group or user names pane.
  5. Select the Modify and Write checkboxes in the Permissions pane.
  6. Click Apply, followed by OK.
