Limitations to application support in ThinApp
Details
ThinApp does not support the capture of all possible applications due to some limitations, also some applications may work however not all functionality may be available.
This article outlines the kind of applications that may not be fully supported.
Solution
The following applications cannot be virtualized:

Applications requiring installation of kernel-mode device drivers. This may include applications in the next point listed.
Note: ODBC database drivers are not kernel-mode drivers and are supported by ThinApp. -
Applications that interact with low-levels of the operating system such as some antivirus, firewall software, disk management software and VPN clients.

Scanner and printer drivers.
The following application features may have some functionality limitations when virtualized:

Device drivers.

Shell integration.
-
Using DCOM services that are network-visible.
-
Implementing libraries that use global hooks.
