The Enhanced Virtual Keyboard Setting Might Not Persist After a Workstation Upgrade

Details

If you had Workstation 6.0.x or Workstation 6.5.0 and enabled the enhanced virtual keyboard feature, the feature might not remain enabled after you upgrade to Workstation 6.5.1 and later releases.

Solution

After you upgrade, do the following:

If the virtual machine is an ACE-enabled virtual machine, disable the ACE features.
Go to VM > Settings > Options > General, select Use enhanced virtual keyboard, and click OK. If the check box is in an indeterminate state, click it until the feature is enabled.
Re-enable ACE features.
