If an ACE Instance Running in Kiosk Mode Is on a Host That Goes into Standby Mode, the Host Stays Locked

Details

The kiosk mode feature is designed so that a user is prevented from accessing the host operating system at all. It is therefore very unlikely that anyone would use a laptop computer to run an ACE instance in kiosk mode. If you do use a laptop for this purpose and close the lid, the computer goes into standby mode, and you will not be able to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to unlock the host when you open the lid again.

Solution

Avoid using kiosk mode on a computer that might go into standby mode.
