On Japanese Hosts, You Cannot Upgrade from an English Version of Workstation

Details

If you installed Workstation 6.0.0 on a Japanese system, running a Workstation 6.5.1 installer to upgrade fails. This problem does not occur if you attempt to upgrade from Workstation 6.0.1, which does support Japanese locales.

Solution

Manually uninstall Workstation 6.0.0 and then install Workstation 6.5.1.
