An "Unidentified Publisher" Message Appears When You Uninstall Workstation from a Windows Vista Host

Details

Even if you are logged in with administrative rights, if you have UAC (User Account Control) turned on, Vista gives an Unidentified Publisher warning when you attempt to uninstall Workstation. If you do not dismiss this message, after two minutes a second message appears: Error 1730. You must be an Administrator to remove this application. The uninstallation times out and fails.

Solution

Run the uninstallation again and dismiss the first warning message that appears.
