Cannot Install ACE Packages When the Host Has Another ACE Instance Running

Details

If you have one ACE instance running on a host and you try to install an ACE package for a second ACE instance, you might see the error Cannot continue. This ACE appears to be currently running. Please stop the ACE from running in the VMware application and try again. You see this message even though you are trying to install a different ACE instance from the one that is running. You might also see this message if you have one Pocket ACE running while you attempt to install an update package for a second Pocket ACE.

Solution

Power off all ACE instances and then install the ACE package.
