Copying Files from a Remote File System Fails When Replaying a Recording If You Click Go Live

Details

If you replay a recording of virtual machine execution and that recording includes copying a file from a directory on the host or on a network share, the file transfer fails if you click Go Live before the file transfer is complete. Similarly, if you create a recording and stop recording in the middle of a file transfer, when you replay the recording to the end and it goes live, the file transfer fails. You receive the error message, <Filename> Invalid file handle.

Solution

When creating a recording, avoid stopping the recording during a file transfer. When replaying a recording, avoid going live before the file transfer is complete.
