Lab Manager MKS Console Browser Plug-In on Windows Can Be Installed Only by a Windows Administrator
Details
On Microsoft Windows other than Vista, users who are not administrators need administrator privileges to install a one-time MKS console browser plug-in to access the Lab Manager console.
After installing this plug-in, any user can access the MKS console.
On Windows Vista, you must be the administrator to install and use the MKS console browser plug-in, when the User Account Control (UAC) is enabled. When the UAC is disabled, any user with administrative privileges can install the plug-in and any user can use MKS console.
Solution
To install the Lab Manager MKS console browser plug-in on Windows other than Vista, you must have administrator privileges on the machine. On Vista, you must be the system administrator.
Download and install the MKS plug-in when the browser prompts you to, initially. To access the console on both IE and Mozilla Firefox, log in as administrator on Windows and install the plug-in separately for both the browsers.
