How do I determine the version and build number of VMware Consolidated Backup running on my Proxy server?

Solution

In order to identify the version and build number of VCB installed on your Proxy server, follow the steps listed below:

Open a "command" prompt by clicking Start -> Run -> Type "command"

  • On the command prompt:
    • Go to the VMware Consildated Backup installation directory
      • For example: "cd C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Consolidated Backup Framework\"
    • Type the following command:
      • vcbVmName.exe
For example:
 
C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Consolidated Backup Framework>vcbVmName.exe
VMware Consolidated Backup -- VM Locator Utility
Version 1.5.0 (build-102898)

The output of the above command provides the version of VCB and build number installed on the Proxy server.
