VMware products might be affected during VirtualCenter upgrade
Details
If left running, some VMware products might experience data inconsistency during a VirtualCenter upgrade. This can potentially lead to corrupted databases or inability to effectively manage your VMware environment.
Solution
Stop the processes of the following VMware Products before upgrading VirtualCenter:
- VMware Virtual Desktop Manager (VDM)
- VMware Lab Manager
- VMware Stage Manager
It is also advisable to stop/pause any tasks utilizing VirtualCenter at the time of the upgrade, such as Physical to Virtual conversions using VMware Converter.
For instructions on stopping services/processes, refer to the documentation for your specific product.
