Update Manager Client becomes disabled randomly
Symptoms
- Update Manager Client is randomly disabled
- Update Manager Client is not working

The following error is generated:
Your session with the VMware Update Manager is no longer valid. The VMware Update Manager Client plugin will be unloaded from the VI Client.
Resolution
To prevent Update Manager from being randomly disabled, check if there is antivirus software running on the system.
Exclude the Update Manager download repository from antivirus scanning. For more information about excluding items from antivirus scanning, contact your antivirus software vendor.
