Running the command esxupdate query displays two similar Update 2 entries after installing ESX Server 3.5 Update 2 re-release from an ESX Server 3.5 Update 2 GA installation. One entry will have the name ESX350-Update02 and will have an install date corresponding to the installation of ESX Server Update 2 GA. The other entry will have the name ESX350-Update-02 (note the - preceding 02) and will have an install date corresponding to the installation of ESX Server Update 2 re-release.

Solution

The duplicate entry is benign and can be safely ignored.
