Cannot connect through the security server
Symptoms

Unable to log in to Virtual Desktop Manager when connecting through a security server

You receive the following error:
Accessing the load balancing security server external URL https://<host-name>:443 fails with error message "The tunnel initiation failed"
Resolution
Validate that each troubleshooting step below is true for your environment. The steps will provide instructions or a link to a document, for validating the step and taking corrective action as necessary. The steps are ordered in the most appropriate sequence to isolate the issue and identify the proper resolution. Please do not skip a step.

Check that DNS name resolution is working between the server and the connection broker. For more information, see Testing connectivity between the agent and the connection server (1006734).

Test the network connectivity and verify that the required VDM ports are available. For more information, see Testing connectivity between the agent and the connection server (1006734).

Verify that the locked.properties file is configured correctly depending on the environment. For more information, see Configuring the locked.properties file (1007147).

If a load balancer is being used in the configuration, verify that is has been configured to be compatible with VDM. For more information, see the VDM Load Balancing Guide.
