Troubleshooting connectivity to the Connection Broker server
Symptoms

Unable to access or connect to the Connection broker or connection server
-
You receive the following errors:

The connection to the remote computer ended
-
Server name cannot be resolved, check the URL setting

Resolution
Validate that each troubleshooting step below is true for your environment. The steps will provide instructions or a link to a document, for validating the step and taking corrective action as necessary. The steps are ordered in the most appropriate sequence to isolate the issue and identify the proper resolution. Please do not skip a step.

Confirm that the connection broker server is joined to the domain. For more information, see Verifying that the virtual desktop or server is joined to the domain (1006804).

Check that the connection broker can communicate with the server over the required ports. For more information, see Testing connectivity between the agent and the connection server (1006734) .

Check that DNS name resolution is working between the server and the connection broker. For more information, see Testing connectivity between the agent and the connection server (1006734) .

If using a thin client, confirm that the thin client is listed in the VDM compatibility list. For more information, see the Thin Client Compatibility Guide For VMware Virtual Desktop Manager.

If using a thin client, confirm that the thin client is setup correctly. For more information, see Using the Wyse V10L and S10 Thin Clients with VDM.

Verify that the server's SID is unique on the network. For more information, see How To Find and Clean Up Duplicate Security Identifiers with Ntdsutil in Windows 2000.
