No users appear when attempting to entitle a virtual desktop (1006171)
Symptoms

Unable to entitle any users to the virtual desktop

Cannot see the domain or any users when attempting to entitle a user
Resolution
You must run the VMware VDM Connection Server service as a domain administrator.
To run the Virtual Desktop Manager Connection Server service as a domain administrator:

Click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
- Right-click VMware VDM Connection Server. Choose Properties.
- Click Log on.

Select This account.

Choose a domain administrator user account and specify the password.

Click OK.

Right-click VMware VDM Connection Server. Choose Restart.
If the problem persists, verify that the VDM Connection server is able to contact its Active Directory server over port 3268. For more information, see Testing port connectivity with the Telnet command (1003487) .
