Troubleshooting a Workstation runVM failed unrecoverable error (1005934)
Symptoms

Cannot start a virtual machine in Workstation

Trying to start a virtual machine in Workstation generates the following error during power on:

VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (vcpu-0)
VCPU 0 RunVM failed: The operation completed successfully.

The following errors may be generated immediately or some time after power on:

MONITOR PANIC: vcpu-0:NOT_IMPLEMENTED vmcore/vmm/cpu/priv.c:567
- MONITOR PANIC: vcpu-1:NOT_IMPLEMENTED vmcore/vmm/cpu/priv.c:1053

Resolution
This issue can occur when you are running VMware Workstation and another organization's virtualization software at the same time. Running Workstation and another organization's virtualization software simultaneously on the same system is not supported.
VMware recommends uninstalling the other virtualization software to allow Workstation to operate without errors.
