Purpose
Resolution
You need to activate Lab Manager licenses in a Host-based or Single-host license file and you must ensure that you activate both Lab Manager Server and Lab Manager Agent licenses in the same license file.
To activate a Lab Manager license:
-
Navigate to www.vmware.com .
-
Click the Account link and choose Manage Product Licenses.
-
Select the Manage VMware Product Licenses option.
-
Log in to your VMware account.
-
Click New.
-
Choose to create a Single-host license file and click Next.
-
Activate one VMware Lab Manager license and the required amount of Lab Manager Agent licenses.
Note: Agent licenses help connect ESX hosts to the Lab Manager Server. One agent license supports 2 physical CPUs on the ESX hosts. -
Click Next.
-
Enter a comment to differentiate this license file from the others that may exist in your account.
-
Click Finish. When complete, download the license file or email it to your email address.
