Instructions for Mac VDM Web Access with RDC 1.0 (1005781)

Details

Setting up a VDM Web Access connection from Mac OSX 10.4.11 generates the following error message:
Requirements not met.  VMware VDM Web Access for Mac requires RDC 1.0 installed in your Applications folder – Download it from here.

Solution

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
 
  1. Download RDC 1.0.3.
  2. When extracting from the RDC103EN.dmg file, copy the Remote Desktop Connection folder to the Mac OSX Applications directory. Copying just the Remote Desktop Connection application to the Mac OSX  Applications directory is not recognized by VDM Web Access.  The RDC application  must be in the Remote Desktop Connection folder.
