Stage Manager Datastores Tab Does Not Display Current Capacity After Creating or Deleting Virtual Machines
Details
The change in datastore capacity after creating or deleting virtual machines does not immediately appear in the Datastores tab.
Stage Manager receives datastore usage information from the VirtualCenter Server. A periodic refresh cycle occurs on the ESX hosts that the VirtualCenter Server manages. Because Stage Manager creates virtual machines directly on the datastores and does not involve the VirtualCenter Server in the process, the VirtualCenter Server does not detect the change in datastore usage until a refresh occurs.
Solution
To update the displayed datastore capacity
Force a datastore refresh in the VirtualCenter Server using the VI Client.
The refresh updates the capacity data in Stage Manager and the VI Client.
