Product Compatibility Between VMware Stage Manager and VMware Update Manager (1005687)

If you work with Stage Manager and Update Manager, review these compatibility issues:

Stage Manager and Update Manager can use the same clusters, hosts, resource pools, or storage.
You cannot use Update Manager to update Stage Manager virtual machines because Update Manager relies on VirtualCenter snapshots.
