Product Compatibility Between VMware Stage Manager and VMware Lifecycle Manager (1005677)

If you work with Stage Manager and Lifecycle Manager, review these compatibility issues:

You can deploy Lifecycle Manager virtual machines on the same ESX hosts that Stage Manager uses.
You can import Stage Manager virtual machines to Lifecycle Manager, and Lifecycle Manager virtual machines to Stage Manager.
If you clone a Stage Manager virtual machine in Stage Manager, Lifecycle Manager displays the original virtual machine and the clone as two new virtual machines. Lifecycle Manager cannot detect the original virtual machine.
Lifecycle Manager does not recognize undeployed Stage Manager virtual machines because the undeploy operation unregisters virtual machines from VirtualCenter.
