Details
Hardware overlay is a requirement for VDM Client Multi-Media redirection (MMR). MMR is a technique implemented by most modern graphics cards that allows an application to write to dedicated video memory, rather than writing to video memory shared by all applications. MMR allows clipping, moving and scaling of the image to be performed by the graphics hardware rather than by the CPU in software.
Solution
If hardware overlay is not present in your video card driver, unexpected behavior may occur.
