Resolution
It is important to ensure the correct type and number of licenses appear on the License Portal when logging in under your account. You can verify that the products you purchased can be activated for your production environment.
To eliminate possible causes of licenses not appearing correctly, and take corrective action as necessary:
-
Ensure the number of licenses purchased match current need. For more information, see Verifying purchased licenses meet current need (1005513).
-
Verify purchased licenses are showing up in the account. For more information, see Finding your VMware licenses on the Account Management Portal (1005509)
-
Ensure License Administrators have appropriate licenses under their accounts. For more information, see License Administrator and Support Administrator (1003304).
-
Verify the Partner Activation Code (PAC) registration sequence is completed on the OEM portal. For more information, see VMware Partner Activation Codes Explained (1003303).
-
Ensure all VMware subscription contracts are valid to receive upgrades. For more information, see Ensuring validity of Subscription Contracts to receive product upgrades (1005526).
